“SANC” ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEMS

Developed to reduce congestion caused by FRNP (Non Programmable Renewable Sources)

High storage capacity achived through the NAS battery technology

Highly innovative functionalities such as experimental calibration alghoritms and innovative conduction, monitoring and dispatching methods.
COL develops and installs an highly innovative system called SANC for Terna TSO with the primary goal of reducing congestion caused by FRNP (Non Programmable Renewable Sources), SANC is based on electrochemical storage technologies (energy intensive) and is characterized by high storage capacity achived through the NAS battery technology (sodium / sulfur technology) Flumeri SANC is the 12 MW power plant built by COL (with a net energy capacity of about 80 MWh), located in the southern part of Italy and connected to the 150 kV “Benevento 2 – Bisaccia 380” power line. SANC system introduces highly innovative functionalities using both experimental calibration alghoritms and innovative conduction, monitoring and dispatching methods.
