The International Energy Agency (IEA) just published an article where explains that grid integration is one of the top 4 challenges to increasing renewable energy capacity and move forward with energy transition. Without smart grid systems, there will be no energy transition. Renewables will play a strategic role to cut 50% of global emissions by 2030 and Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) are growing significantly day after day thanks to solar and wind plants, electric vehicles, local energy communities and microgrids.
We need smart grid systems to make it happen.
