Col Giovanni Paolo acquires TeamWare to accelerate its progress towards power quality, cyber security and electric distribution remote control

LONDON (UK) – TURIN (Italy) – 9th December, 2021 – Col Giovanni Paolo S.P.A. (“Col”), a leading Italian business, owned by Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. (“Oaktree”), specialising in critical components and advanced solutions for smart grid applications in medium and high voltage electrical infrastructure today announced that they have finalised the acquisition of TeamWare.

TeamWare was founded in 1988 in Milan, Italy and is a dynamic engineering company specialized in designing and manufacturing equipment and systems for electrical grids monitoring and control. Working with key global utilities and industrial players, TeamWare has developed a highly innovative technology portfolio of electrical measurements, smart grid automation power quality systems and remote controls for the energy industry – these technologies, combined with Col’s product portfolio, are all enablers to the energy transition, a key pillar of Col’s strategy.

The transaction was closed on 30th November, 2021. TeamWare’s headquarters will remain in Milan.
